What To Expect
Get ready for the ultimate foodie adventure! Immerse yourself in local Mexican culture on a fun and insightful, off-the-beaten-path foodie adventure with tastings at 5 food stops (includes 2 or 3 for seafood), 1 non-alcoholic beverage stop, and 1 dessert stop. Other likely visits include the Mercado Hidalgo open-air market and a Mexican bakery. Along the way we'll point out a few of the eateries Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern showcased on their Travel Channel shows.
After we meet in San Diego, we'll cross together on foot into Tijuana and then hop on a shared taxi to the main area. From there we'll walk around approximately 3-4 miles (with breaks in between) to the open-air market and various food stops. At the end of the tour, we'll hop on a shared taxi back to the border to get in the pedestrian line to return to San Diego.
