Working our way back one waterfall at a time we spend 2.5 of the 3.5 hours walking around and exploring each of the waterfall state parks. Plenty of time to take pictures or even dive in and take a 200 foot tall shower.

What To Expect

Horsetail Falls- Columbia River Gorge

Hop out of the bus and explore a popular local swimming hole located under this 176 foot tall waterfall. Jump in on a warm day or soak up the views from the multiple viewing areas.

A reserved front row parking spot gets us to the most popular destination in Oregon faster so we have time to explore all the way up to the Benson Bridge, grab an ice cream, and check out the gift shop at the tallest waterfall in Oregon.

A .5 mile round trip hike takes us to the spray of a powerful waterfall. Translated as “Most Beautiful” this waterfall is one you’ll never forget.

This original 1915 rest stops features a tall bridge spanning a narrow chasm with a beautiful falls, a short 100 yard hike takes us to the best view.

Latourell Falls

Once a thriving fishing town Latourell is now a charming park featuring a huge 290 foot tall waterfall. Get up close and personal at many locals favorite waterfall in the area.

Crown Point State Park

The crown jewel of the Historic Columbia River Highway, the crown point vista house is the best viewing area to see the Columbia River Gorge. At Sunset the whole Gorge is a beautiful melange of sunset colors mixing over the water and mountains with Portland glistening in the background.
