If you like to travel at your pace, then this Maui Express Bike Tour of Haleakala volcano is an option for independent travelers. Rather than visiting the summit of Haleakala as part of a guided group, this tour begins at the National Park entrance and allows you to bike through Kula and Makawao as fast or as slow as you choose. Stop at protea farms, get a cup of coffee, and wander through local shops, before finishing either at the bike tour office or down on the beach in Paia. Tours check in at 7:30am, and conclude by 2:30pm.
